Duval County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Christopher Bernier will be the guest speaker at the Beaches Kiwanis Club meeting on Sept. 10.
The meeting will be held at 12pm at the Neptune Beach branch of the Jacksonville Public Library, 600 Third St. It is free and open to the public.
The Beaches Kiwanis Club has its own long history with local schools. Ish Brant, the former coach and principal of Fletcher High School who later led the Duval County School Board, founded the club in 1946. The club meets at noon on the second and fourth Thursday of every month at the Beaches Library Branch, and guests are welcome at any meeting.
