Nobody's perfect, and that includes those who write for Beach Gazette. Below are corrections listed by the date of the change and linked to the updated story.
June 26, 2026 - The article "Qualifying Period Closes for the 2026 November Ballot" incorrectly noted that City Councilor Bill Horn was unchallenged in 2012. He was unchallenged in 2022. The term-limited Neptune Beach City Council member is Josh Messinger, not John (although we think both are fine names). Finally, while we included a photo of State Representative Kiyan Michael, we did not mention that she and State Senator Clay Yarborough, both representing the Beaches, were also unopposed.
