The candidate qualifying period for the November 2026 election ended at noon on June 12. All three District seats in Jacksonville Beach remain unopposed, as in the previous cycle. Incumbents John Wagner (District 1) and Bill Horn (District 2) will continue their terms. Wagner joined the City Council in 2024 after Cory Nichols resigned, while Horn was unchallenged in 2012. Art Graham, a former council member, will succeed Sandy Golding, who is term-limited.
In Atlantic Beach, Jessica Ring, Seat 5, has been elected to serve a second term. Curtis Ford, the incumbent, will compete against Nancy Staats in the upcoming mayoral race. Additionally, Lisa Herrold and Jennifer Lagner are vying for Seat 4, which is currently held by Candace Kelly, who is unable to run again due to term limits.
