Elderly Housing Management Corporation has contributed $25,000 to the Beaches Council on Aging Endowment Fund. The gift is intended to support the long-term sustainability of Dial-a-Ride, a transportation program serving older adults and people with disabilities throughout the Jacksonville Beaches community.
EHMC, the nonprofit managing agent of Pablo Towers, Pablo Suites and Pablo Hamlet, approved the contribution through its board of directors. EHMC said the gift recognizes the role Dial-a-Ride plays for its residents and for older adults across the Beaches area who rely on transportation to remain active and independent.
Lori Anderson, executive director of Beaches Council on Aging, said transportation remains a central need for many older adults who want to age in place.
“This generous investment from Elderly Housing Management Corporation strengthens the future of Dial-A-Ride, helping ensure we can continue connecting seniors to medical appointments, grocery stores, social activities, and other essential destinations,” Anderson said. “We are incredibly grateful for their partnership and commitment to our mission.”
The donation comes as demand for senior transportation continues to grow along with the region’s older adult population. The Beaches Council on Aging Endowment Fund was created to provide ongoing financial support for Dial-a-Ride so the program can continue serving riders in the years ahead.
