Atlantic Beach Budget Season Underway; Public Input Sought Through September

Atlantic Beach's budget process for fiscal year 2026-27 is underway, and city officials are encouraging residents to weigh in before the City Commission's final vote in September.

Two public workshops remain before the budget is finalized, followed by a final hearing and vote on the property tax rate. The upcoming budget will fund core city services, public safety, coastal resilience, infrastructure improvements and the maintenance of local parks and natural spaces.

All meetings will be held at 6 p.m. in the City Commission Chamber at City Hall:

The city manager's FY 2026-27 Budget Strategy: Operations and Constraints is available at coab.us/budget.

How Residents Can Weigh In

Residents can speak directly to city leadership during public comment periods at the July 20 and Aug. 19 workshops and the September hearing. Residents can email written questions and feedback to city administration at info@coab.us for consideration during the planning process. Residents can also contact individual commissioners directly to raise neighborhood-specific concerns.

For the full budget timeline or upcoming meeting agendas, visit coab.us or contact City Hall.
